Can a employer sponsor me in following circumstances?

i'm looking for a regional employer sponsership in victoria australia. i found a employer whom i'm also working with, he is willing to sponser me but he runs a business in the name of a private ltd company which is in loss , though revenue is 280000$ p.a can he still sponsor me?
