My 120000mile Mit. Montero Ltd suv makes a noise?

comparable to the "wheel of fortune" wheel spin, when I accelerate (1st, 2nd,3rd gear) I just got the thing back from the repair shop. Don't want to spend the rest of my savings for a small problem. It couldn't be that bad could it?
