Will my Verizon Droid X work in Costa Rica?

I'm leaving for Costa Rica tomorrow, and would like to know what I can expect from my phone down there. I have the unlimited text call and data plan. And it's the X first generation, not the new X2. I also have Skype on my phone, so even if just data works I'd be alright. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
